Is Jesus the only way?
It may sound unfair or intolerant to say that there is one way to God and only one way to get to heaven. Is it true?
God is holy. God is perfect. Sin separates us from God. Sin is any thought or action opposite of God's ways. Sins makes us unholy. We are not able to be with God unless we are holy.
A sacrifice was required to purify the people of their sins.
"...without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."
Hebrews 9:22
And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 10:11-12
Jesus willingly stepped down from heaven, setting aside His deity, and came to earth.

His purpose? He came to teach us how to live according to God's word and mostly, to lay down his life for us- to pay the penalty for sin, once and for all.

Jesus was the final sacrifice. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.
When Jesus died on the cross, He made the "great switch". For all those who believe in Him and put their faith in Him: He took their sin and put it on Himself. He then gives His holiness and puts it on us. We are "covered" by Him.
Jesus is the only way because:
sin separates us from God. There is nothing we can do, no amount of prayers, no amount of good deeds, no amount of love and kindness that we can show can forgive sin or make us holy.
Jesus offers forgiveness of sin.
Jesus is the only one who lived a sinless life and is able to be the perfect sacrifice.
Jesus offers to give us His holiness.

For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
Hebrews 10:14.
John 14:6
"I am the Way, the Truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Jesus said He is the only way. Therefore, He is the ONLY way. Is that fair? He offers the exact same offer to everyone. Every person on earth has the same opportunity to receive forgiveness for their sins.
But, I am not a bad person. I have not murdered anyone or anything terrible like that. I donate money to people in need and treat everyone with kindness. I am a fairly good person.
It is by grace that you are saved, not by works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8
It is not a scale where, if your good outweighs your bad, then you can enter.
